Africa’s political disaster
Due to all the horrendous occurrences around the world, I thought this would be the perfect moment to have a conversation about Africa’s terrifying situation, and why it has escalated to this extend.
To further understand this, we'll have to look back at the historical events that have been taking place in the past.
This will explain why these political but also economic collapses are still happening to this day and what has contributed to these complications.
Why is the continent of Africa unstable?
If you would take a look at your local news channels, or any news outlet on the internet, you will immediately notice how Africa is always being portrayed as an unstable, and unsafe environment, so unsafe that's not even possible to an conventional life, this is not always reliable.
However, there have been multiple political conflicts in the past. Not only regarding their corruptive administration, but there are many civil wars that have been taking place in the continent.
Civil wars usually escalate when the citizens are not in agreement with some of the believes they have. This could potentially be about a particular religion or traditional policies, meaning that these individuals have different perspectives.
But since most of these countries have not established any laws regarding freedom of speech, they will never have the entitlement to speak up on about anything, since the government has authority over it, which is very unfortunate.
This is a privilege most African countries will never have, even the countries that aren't that conservative do usually not get the permission to be their authentic selves.
Conflicts can easily occur because there isn't a system to prevent it, contrary to the Western world where these laws are endorsed, every citizen has the right to hold a demonstration. In some African countries, most demonstrations are prohibited under any circumstances.
Historically, Africa has been a victim of invasion, which has caused a lot of internalized problems within the continent.
Evidentially, the confiscations of these nations has neglected their resources, which most European countries technically still possess to this day.
Never did they even consider to make any reparations, even though multiple organizations have been manufactured to assist Africa in these horrific moments, sometimes the money is not purposefully used to contribute to Africa’s problems. But instead, the authorities will use it for other intentions, hence why not all the institutions can be trusted.
Aside from independent organizations, there are intergovernmental administrations to help developing or struggling nations around the globe.
But according to all the research that I have done, even these organizations can be very manipulative, considering the fact that they associate themselves with conflicts and wars, and even collaborate with particular countries to commit these crimes which result in assassinations of numerous innocent individuals.
The UN and the African nations are both responsible for the solutions regarding these collapsing nations, however, they never took the accountability. Even though you would have the expectation that the African Nation would be an effective organization to help the problems in their own continent.
Would the situation be different if Europe has never confiscated the African nations? That is debatable, this will be uncovered in the next paragraph.
How colonization has ruined our continent
A stable economy is one of the most essential tools to maintain a stable nation, but considering the fact that most African countries are still experiencing severe poverty, there must be a particular reason why this hasn’t altered throughout the years. Africa possesses some of the most prominent resources that you could have in your possession.
The Europeans acknowledged this and took advantage of the vulnerable continent. Gold, for instance, is one of the key resources in Africa, most of the gold has been confiscated by European colonizers which has contributed to Africa's economical collapse.
When discussing history they usually only refer to the things that've happened to the slaves, who were executing these unrealistically demanding tasks that have to lead to multiple deaths, but not the transportation of gold, diamonds, or cocoa.
Ever since these countries have managed to gain their independence, this has not made any adjustments regarding their condition, after they declared independence most countries did not have an elaborate plan for each country.
There have been some organizations like the African Nation and the UN who tend to supervise these countries, but regardless they have not made any changes in the political and economical aspect of Africa and this precisely the problem why so many wars are always reoccurring.
Every parliament has its own perspectives, making it very challenging to be in agreement about anything regarding their continent or the distinctive countries, you would think that some collaborations would be beneficial for the continent, however, an unfortunate reality, most of these negotiations do not have proper settlements.
Meaning that the government will be persuaded to sign a contract for a deal that “supposedly” needs to change the circumstances in Africa, but in reality, they either agreed with something that includes several obligations to transport resources, or when that is not the case they will cooperate in a way, but this does not benefit Africa under any condition.
The reason why the government does not contribute
In the Western World, most governments are expected to be responsible for the economical and political decisions that they make, but in Africa, it is completely the opposite, all the other governmental institutions that are involved are not holding conferences to discuss matters in their country.
This has been planned intentionally, due to the fact that Africa is quite known for its corruptive leaders who've used the their money for other intentions rather than helping the citizens who desperately need the money to provide for their families, which lead to the seggregation between rich, and poor. Even though most continents have experienced this kind of division.
Africa restrains all the opportunities for individuals who have not been able to attend prestigious schools to pursue a successful academic life, resulting in them not having the possibility to even possess any sort of residence, which has lead to poverty, due to the fact that only the ones who tend to have more money, and a "better background" will have the ability to get a job, resulting in unemployment.
Africa’s economy has never been able to prosper as its competitors, but regarding the fact that their presidents are still misusing the money that they produce, and the money that has been transferred from other countries, this is one of the reasons why the economy of the continent will never excel. Even when they are enforcing drastic adjustments.
Corruption has been normalized in this continent, just like some countries in Eastern Europe or Asia, it will never change considering that the government has the permission to continue with corruption, because there are no external forces that prohibit them from committing these unacceptable actions as a leader.
Most politicians need to face drastic and serious consequences when they have done something that is politically intolerant, however African leaders have the allowance to continue with these corruptive crimes meaning that this is being enabled because they will never make any accusations towards these leaders because this is all being permitted.

What is happening in Nigeria?
Nigeria is also one of these countries that have been affected by their corruptive government, this had led to multiple conflicts in the Western African nation of Nigeria. Unfortunately, this has only aggravated out of recent due to the organization of “SARS”.
SARS is an organization which was intentionally made to cooperate with the Nigerian authorities to protect the citizens from criminality (gangs that quite infamous in Nigeria) but instead, they took advantage of this and it has escalated to something completely different, the citizens of Nigeria are not being supported, but instead are being assassinated for no reason in particular.
Demonstrations have been taking place in the bigger cities of the country (Lagos as a prime example) people were peacefully showcasing their concerns regarding this occurrence.
However, the government does not take this lightly, they've has given “SARS” the assignment to execute these assassinations towards their citizens, meaning that these protesters are deliberately being murdered by the authorities of their own country, SARS is not the only group that is accountable for these appalling atrocities but also the infamous “Boko Haram” whom were attempting to “Islamize” Nigeria which entails that Christians are obligated to convert to Islam.
However, everything that they believe in has nothing to do with Islam in reality, and evidentially it’s mostly exaggerated believes that most conservatives have, women should not even consider an academic or occupational life in their perspective, hence why they have kidnapped multiple young girls to not only convert them, but to restrain them from education in general.
Nigeria has experienced multiple internal conflicts regarding religious reasons, but in this case, it has to do with the civilians of Nigeria, and the laws that they do not endorse, people are demanding justice, and this is why they are being killed by their own government, because they want to establish rights that other nations already had in their possession.

What is happening in the Republic of Congo?
The situation in Congo is just as horrendous as the other ones yet, completely incomparable. Young children are being forced to work as employees in fields, and sometimes even gold mines to gain resources for huge manufacturers like Apple and Samsung.
These young children are obviously not getting paid and are threatened by soldiers to execute these tasks that you cannot even imagine executing yourself, just have the imagination that a young undeveloped child needs to surface these circumstances at such a young age, their parents are technically powerless meaning that they cannot disagree with whatever the government wants them to do.
In comparison with the Western World children have the opportunity to operate for themselves, while children in developing countries like the Republic of Congo cannot even make that decision because they are being overpowered by the authorities, this is what you refer to as the ‘exploitation of young children”.
It’s quite ironic that organizations like the African Nation are not doing anything in their power to deconstruct such devastating occurrences, instead they just taking advantage of the money that they have despite the fact that they have the ability to prevent these kinds of situations.
What is happening in Ghana and Ivory Coast?
Just like the Republic of Congo, Ghana and Ivory Coast are exploiting children, but the difference is that they make transactions. Ghana will exchange some children to Ivory Coast and Ivory Coast does the same with their children.
You could consider this to be modern-day slavery since these children are also being obligated to execute extremely endangering tasks that most adults would not even practice.
However this is done in secrecy, this is the reason why the general world is not aware of these problems, not everything is being documented and the Ghanaian authorities are informed about this but they are also not changing anything about it since they accept this occurrence.
Why doesn't the media inform you about these occurrences?
The news is quite manufactured, meaning that they will only spread selective information that has “importance” to them instead of informing others on what is happening around the world.
This has all been deliberately organized to not only manipulate your knowledge, but to misinform you about how these instances are consistently occurring, there are multiple examples of conflicts and wars that are not being broadcasted on international news outlets like “CNN” and “FOX News” meaning that no one will acknowledge any of these incidents.
Isn’t it quite noticeable how they are always having a conversation about the occurrences in Israel, but they are never enlightening people about the abundant amount of assassinations that the Israelian army has committed in Palestine?
The news is constructed to only cover the “general” news and not necessarily everything that is happening in our complicated and diabolical world.
Most of these outlets also have compromised with these countries in question to masquerade the fact that they are some of the most blameworthy countries in the entire globe, but they tend to “disguise” them as innocent while they are responsible for most of the wars that have been taking place in this generation, but also historically.
These countries have also capitalized on these “compromises”, meaning that they can overpower the world, because they have so much money in general, which leads to them having the ability to be manipulative.
What can we do to support these countries?
There are several reliable communities and organizations that are more than delighted to help these struggling countries, not only to help them in the economical department, but also to endorse their political entitlements as human beings.
Some of the most recommendable associations are “Amnesty International”, which are internationally known to support multiple demographics and countries where civil rights are still not being enforced, meaning that every donation that you make will be consumed responsibly considering the fact that they are one of the most trustworthy companies regarding problems in developed nations.
But also, conservative nations like “Russia” or “China” where some general rights have still not been established to this day, and that is the purpose that they have behind the concept of their company.
You can personally decide how much money you want to transfer each month without any contract attachments meaning that you are permitted to cancel the subscription whenever you think that it’s not necessarily needed anymore.
Another thing that would be recommendable is to do some research regarding the problems in particular nations and to participate with donations that are trustworthy. Remind yourself that not all companies have good intentions especially not the “United Nations” which I have stated in the other paragraph.
At last, I just want to make a small suggestion on the side that does not involve any donations, I encourage everyone to at least spread awareness surrounding these topics, because it’s really essential that others around the world will acknowledge these discounted problems.
Africa has always been a prominent continent when Europeans wanted to confiscate our belongings and our people to work as slaves, but when they are in urgent need of help they are not getting any sort of arrangements in that department, which is truly disappointing.
I think would be quite fair for them to at least arrange some reparations, starting with the acknowledgment of the things that they have been committed in our nation, and how that has affected our economy and political unstableness today.
This article was not written with ease and I just want people to recognize these horrific problems that unstable continents and countries are encountering every single day, we as Europeans have the privilege to inform others about these devastating occurrences, and it technically is my pledge to do so as a biracial man of Western African descent, our people are dying because of our own government and people need to comprehend the severity of this on its own.
We can make a difference by spreading the word.
Thanks for reading,
Nathaniel.
